The Commodore's Reception - This is always the first get together at the Club each season. Invitations from the Commodore are included with our annual mailing inviting Members and their guests to a cocktail reception held at the Club. At this time Members have the opportunity to meet all the staff and volunteers who contribute to the enjoyment of the Club and its many activities. The Commodore addresses the group covering activities that have taken place over the winter, plans for the future and events for the coming summer.

Royal Hour - Most Fridays during the summer find many members stopping by on their way from the city to their camps for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, served out on the Club deck overlooking the lake. A great way to start the weekend, make some plans and head out for some fun.

Overwater Golf Classic - An excellent opportunity to knock some balls around a few islands. Golfers travel by boat to member's camps where they partake in demonstrating their golfing skills on holes that only a lake environment can provide. From long distance shots from island to island, to abilities in accuracy with target- like shots into floating boats, this fundraiser is a great occasion for all family members.

Annual Fish Fry Club Dinner - This event fills our Clubhouse and outer decks as our members and their guests enjoy a traditional lake meal of Pickerel and other fine morsels. This get together is one of the highlights of the summer at the RLWYC.

Yacht Club Dance - This semi formal affair brings the boating crowd to the dance floor of the RLWYC. A great occasion to dine and dance and catch up with old acquaintances from near and far. Always held on the August long weekend, this event is always a sellout, so reserve your tickets early.

Ladies Luncheon - All ladies are welcome to attend a delicious sit-down luncheon in elegant style. The afternoon commences with a cash bar and finishes with a decadent dessert. Fresh flower centerpieces go home with the lucky winners. ( 24 - hour advance RSVP to ensure reservation)

Men's Luncheon - Who says the ladies have all the fun! Similar in form and function however we are not sure about the dessert and flowers. Always a great get together for the boys.

Summer Wind Up - The last blast of the season. Throw something together in your kitchen and add it to the potluck dishes as campers reduce their larders. Chances to reminisce say good bye and look forward to the next season.

Junior Programs

Junior Dance - Live or taped music to get your young ones a hopping. Ages 11 to 16 get together and decorate the Clubhouse to suit a theme. There are spot dances and prizes; snacks and drinks are available. Gymkhana - Water and land team sports events for children ages 5 to 12. Many kids' favourites such as sponge bucket relay, dress-up relay race, crab-walk relay race and more. Bass, Pickerel, Sturgeon and Muskie teams vie to see which team's name will be on the Gymkhana trophy.

Kids Summer Day Camp - A fun, interactive and educational experience for children 3 to 8 years old. Activities include crafts, sports, baking, games, swimming and more. An opportunity for children to participate in fun events, meet other kids on the lake and spend time at the RLWYC. Check the Calendar for dates and times.

Fitness Events

Yoga and Pilates Classes - A chance to unwind or wind up as you seek to be fit. This class is well attended and is a great way to start of your day. Follow up with a visit to the Club Café for coffee and a treat. Check the Calendar for dates and times.

Three Island Swim - This is a 3 KM swim around three islands, one of which is our own Yacht Club Island. Canoes, kayaks, and rowboats escort swimmers on their journey out and back to the club dock. Always on hand is a crowd of enthusiastic supporters cheering on their favorite participants.
